2021 State of Higher Education for Latinx Californians

This report by the Campaign for College Opportunity highlights the disparities in higher education for Latinx Californians and emphasizes the need for proactive policy and programming choices to better serve them.

Examining Disparities in College Opportunity
by Gender for Black Californians

This report by the Campaign for College Opportunity examines the gaps in college opportunity and success for Black Californians, finding that there are pronounced inequities by gender. It reveals that while there have been gains in access to college-level courses, associate and bachelor's degrees, and college completion rates, there is still much work to be done in order to close the gap.

The State of Higher Education for Black Californians

The Campaign for College Opportunity's State of Higher Education in California report examines college access and completion for Black Californians, such as preparation, enrollment, and success. It also provides policy recommendations for improving Black Californians' college enrollment and graduation rates.

Using the UBC campus as a living laboratory, I had the pleasure to work with a group of students on a community based action research, design and build installation on the Hawthorne Community Garden focusing on biodiversity and education.

This report analyzes the state of Black Californians in education. Specifically, this report reviews preparation, enrollment, and success in college for Black Californians. It also recommends actions that our policymakers and college leaders can take in order to improve college enrollment and graduation rates.

This report outlines the current status of Higher Education for all Californian Students. The report uses data to measure the progress of California Institutions on four metrics; College Preparation, Access, Completion, and Affordability.

California’s Higher Education Governing Boards Do Not Reflect the Racial and Gender Diversity of California and Its Student Body

In the next four years, the Governor of California will have the opportunity to appoint more than 40 key leaders to California’s higher education governing boards. These individuals will shape higher education in the state for years to come by hiring leaders and adopting policies that directly affect students’ ability to succeed.
